1. Who runs the website

The dancerepublic.pt website is run by Dance Republic Performing Arts, the name under which two associations operate: CAPA G B CENTRO DAS ARTES PERFORMATIVAS - ASSOCIAÇÃO - AUGUSTO BASTOS (NIPC 519393473) and Notorius Y Habilis - Associação (NIPC 514027630), with their registered office at Rua Pereira Azurara, n.º 36, 4490-543 Póvoa de Varzim. We refer to these two as “the school”.

2. The public website

The website presents the school, its classes, timetables and performances, and allows you to request a trial class, contact the school and subscribe to news. It may be freely browsed. It must not be used for unlawful purposes, nor in a way that harms its operation or the security of other people.

3. The members' area (“Conta”)

The members' area is intended for families, students, teachers and the school's Management. Anyone who creates an account undertakes to provide true and up-to-date information, to keep their password and their sign-in methods safe, not to share them, and to notify the school if they suspect misuse. Each person is responsible for what they do with their account. The school may suspend an account used in breach of these terms or of the Internal Regulations. People may delete their own account, as explained in the privacy policy.

4. Internal Regulations

The school's own matters (enrolments, monthly fees, absences, conduct, image rights, insurance and others) are governed by the Internal Regulations, which each family accepts in the members' area. As regards those matters, the Internal Regulations prevail; these terms govern only the use of the website and of the members' area.

5. Content and intellectual property

The photographs, videos, texts, logo and choreographies on the website belong to the school or to their authors and are used with permission. They may not be copied, published or used outside the school without written permission, except for personal and private use. Images of students are published only in accordance with the family's decision, as explained in the privacy policy.

6. The school's social networks

The school publishes on its own YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn accounts. To do so, the school's authorised team (never the public, families or students) uses tools on the website, in the members' area, which connect to those accounts through each network's official interfaces, solely to publish the school's own content and read the statistics of those posts. The website uses the YouTube API Services: by using them, the school's team is bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and the Google Privacy Policy applies. The school does not sell data from the networks or use it for advertising.

7. Privacy

The processing of personal data is explained in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Liability

The school endeavours to keep the website available and accurate, but does not guarantee that it will work without interruption or without errors, and is not liable for failures of third-party services (for example, of the social networks or the internet) beyond its control. Nothing in these terms limits rights that the law does not allow to be limited.

9. Changes

The school may change these terms. The version in force is always the one on this page, with the date of the last update. Using the website after a change means accepting the new version.

10. Third-party trademarks

Apple and the Apple logo are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the US and other countries. App Store is a service mark of Apple Inc. Google Play and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google LLC. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC; TikTok is a trademark of TikTok Ltd.; Instagram and Facebook are trademarks of Meta Platforms, Inc.; LinkedIn is a trademark of LinkedIn Corporation. The reference to these marks does not mean that their owners sponsor or approve of the school.

11. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. For questions or requests: geral@dancerepublic.pt or +351 913 366 236.
